Standard First Aid with CPR/AED
- This full course teaches First Aid techniques of recognizing and caring for breathing emergencies; identifying and caring for life-threatening bleeding, sudden illness, and injuries - as well as CPR/AED
- CPR/AED course focuses on training the lay rescuer in the workplace
- Combines OSHA-compliant Adult CPR training with instruction in automated external defibrillation, the two skills needed to save the life of a sudden cardiac arrest victim
- Maximum 12 participants per session

First Aid only
- Course to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to give care in an emergency, help sustain life and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until medical help arrives.
- Examples of learning objectives:
- Describe how to recognize and respond to an emergency
- Identify how to minimize the risk of disease transmission when giving care
- Identify the signals of various soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries
- Identify the signs and symptoms of sudden illness, including stroke, diabetic emergency, poisoning and allergic reactions, and describe how to care for them
- Demonstrate how to control bleeding
- Demonstrate how to care for a muscle, bone or joint injury
- Maximum 24 participants per session

CPR/AED only
- This course includes skills practice and knowledge-testing on CPR as well as the proper and safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). An AED is a machine that analyzes the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, tells a rescuer to deliver a shock to a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.
- Examples of learning objectives:
- Identify how to reduce the risk of injury
- Learn how to care for a choking victim
- Learn how to give CPR to someone whose heart has stopped beating
- Maximum 18 participants per session
